Committee Meeting November 18, 2015

Sam showed the video on Urban Forestry from the American in Bloom Symposium.

Gene Pell will audit our financial spreadsheet once we get the current general ledger from the City.

Peggy reported that the PTO at the Elementary School is very interested in helping us plant trees at that location.

Tempe is making progress on the post cards.

We talked about the Garden Show on March 5. Sam checked with Callie to make sure she knew that this is the first weekend of Spring Break. She is aware of this, but will keep the date because advertising has already gone out.

We worked on planning the Breakfast for Downtown merchants for Feb. 11 from 9-10 AM. Sam will work with Tempe on revising our flyer to get an RSVP to make sure we have enough food. It will be a continental breakfast.

Sam reported on the status of the Discovery Garden. He will visit it soon to see if the ditches dug drained the water from recent rains. We are still waiting for a mulch delivery from chipdrop.in.

Replanting of the downtown planters resumes this Friday at 3 PM at the Flower Shop and again Saturday morning at 8.

Sandy made an excellent presentation about why we have to replant.
